The TTRI (Taiwan Textile Research Institute) and Taiwan's textile industry delegates will participate the 2011 Techtextil with the theme of “Innovating and Sustainability,” in response to the event’s theme of “Pure Innovation Energy” for this year.
The “Innovating and Sustainability” theme is based on the ancient Chinese principle of “five elements” and reflects participants' hope of disseminating the idea of “sustainability” from an Oriental point of view.
Of note, the Taiwan pavilion will feature the so-called “five element kites,” designed by Huang Ching-chen, a kite artist from Sanxia, New Taipei City, using technical textiles provided by TTRI as well as four other sponsors, which are Baotek Inc., Gold-Joint Industry Co., Tex-Ray Industrial Co. and Kang Na Hsiung Enterprise Co. (KNH).
The 2011 Techtextil will take place from May 24 to 26 at the Messe Frankfurt Fair Ground. A total of 20,000 are expected to visit this year.
