From September 29th to October 3rd, 2015, the Ministry of Economic Affairs' 2015 Investment Mission to Indonesia, led by Deputy Counselor Chen Ming-Hsiang, will embark on a mission to facilitate and enhance investment from Taiwanese firms in Jakata and Surabaya. By providing necessary information on doing business in the country, the mission begins with an official visit to the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board on September 29th.
Two investment seminars will be held in Hotel Borobudur in Jakarta and the Pullman Surabaya City Centre Hotel on September 29th and October 1st respectively. Taiwanese business representatives will have a number of opportunities to connect with their local counterparts to build new partnerships. To help Taiwanese firms expand effectively in Indonesia and gain sufficient knowledge of the market, the investment group will visit industrial areas, factories and markets to understand the habits and needs of local consumers.
Indonesia is one of the most favorable destinations for Taiwanese firms, in comparison with the Philippines and Vietnam. The industrial estate Artha and Jababeka attracts a steady stream of foreign investment. There are 16 companies participating in this year's investment mission, including CTBC Bank Co., Ltd., World Known Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Cheng Shin Rubber Ind. Co., Ltd., Taiwan Star Industrial Inc., Pysys Technology Co., Ltd., Vedan International (Holdings) Ltd. branch in Taiwan, KPMG, Hopper Wing Enterprise Co., Ltd, Hong-Ta Industry Co., Ltd., Bestway United Narrow Fabrics Co., Ltd, Homer Zipper Co., Ltd, Gigade Co., Ltd., Dreams Come True SPA Co., Ltd., Life Group Stationery Co., Ltd, Huei Sing Enterprise Co., Ltd and the Shanghai Commercial & Savings Bank, Ltd.
