The designers unveiled their works at a joint exhibition titled "Still Fashion Presentation" in New York's hpgrp gallery, and another show titled "Moda Manhattan 2013 Spring Collection" was held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from Sept. 19-21.
The exhibitions during New York Fashion Week, which ran from Sept. 6-13, presented spectators the culture and the creativity of Taiwan's fashion industry.
Indigenous designer Andre Kao showcased his collection that featured elements of Taiwan's aboriginal, contemporary and pop cultures.
In addition, Eve Lin, who held a well-received exhibition in London in 2010, presented her first menswear line, while Fala Chien, the founder of the brands "Play with Fala" and "Fala by Fala Chien" showed off creations that featured different images of women.
Hsu Chiu-i, Sun Yu-hong and Fan Jin-ruei, who was named as one of the most exciting up-and-coming young designers by Elle magazine in 2012, also showed off their collections at the two events.
