More than 50 participants from the biotech business and academic sectors from Taiwan and Switzerland intensively exchanged views about the development of the life science industry and painted a picture about the industry's outlook. As a guest speaker and Taiwan's representative to Switzerland, Fadah Hsieh, said it is the right time for Switzerland to use Taiwan as a spring board to penetrate the Asia Pacific market, including China. He pointed out the 15 major economic agreements between Taiwan and China, including a cross strait medical and health cooperation accord, an intellectual property protection pack and an economic cooperation framework agreement.
