Since running events are getting popular in Vietnam, the 2nd HCMC Run held on the 18th of  January 2015 attracted more than 6,400 people to from all walks of life in Vietnam. The contest’s goodwill and reputation has been resonating in the community, contributing to the dynamic portrait of the Vietnamese. Taiwan Excellence is proud of being the exclusive Gold Sponsor of HCMC RUN 2015 and showcased 12 Taiwan Excellence award- winning branded products at the Taiwan Excellence Experiencing Zone in the Sports and Tourism Expo, aimed to deliver memorable experiences for visitors and participating atheletes.


Mr. Yang Kuang-Ming, Vice Executive Director of Strategic Marketing Department of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) said, 2015 marks the 6th consecutive year of Taiwan Excellence in Vietnam, which has been organizeded by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) and implemented annually by TAITRA. During the recent years, apart from successful branding of Taiwan-originated high quality products, enhancing commercial and bilateral cultural activities, the Taiwan Excellence campaign has been contributing positively to Vietnamese society and a better standard of living.


Taiwan Excellence has honored to be the one and only Gold Sponsor of HCMC Run 2015, said  Mr. Tseng Hsien-Chao, Director of the Commercial Division of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office. The sponsorship will be devoted to Sport talents support fund, the Ho Chi Minh City Running Association, Sport centre District 7 and The Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Support of the People with Disabilities and Orphans (HASPDO).


The Sports and Tourism Exhibition on the 17th & 18th of January 2015 was a must-go side activity at the HCMC Run 2015 for visitors and participating atheletes. Some activities in the program included health consulting, musical performances, sports products, personal healthcare, and high-tech consumer electronics.


Located in the center of the fair, the Taiwan Excellence booth had 12 award-winning brands that definitely caught the attention of Vietnamese consumers, ICT brands (Acer, Draytek and HTC), Sports & Leisure and Helath Care brands were all on display. Outstanding sports products included Rennard’s- smart bike for children, Strida’s compact and foldable bike with a special design; Personal and professional running machines from Johnson’s Health, golf putters from HONO, and dynamic dumbbells from UCHEER. Regarding the healthcare and beauty category, Microlife delivered it’s latest tech that measures blood pressure and heartbeat rates, and Miacare delivers acne treatment products, and Thermedic showed the  Shoulder Pro-Wrap Joint Relief Heating Pad. And let’s not forget the high-tech products from popular brand HTC, Acer and DrayTek. Celebrity Endorser of Taiwan Excellence in Vietnam supermodel Thanh Hang, host interactive games with the audience that attraced many visitors to the Taiwan Excellence Experiencing Zone.
