"I can't believe it. It's crazy," said Wu, who dressed the first lady in a one-shouldered white gown for her first inaugural ball in 2009, according to an Associated Press report.
The ruby halter dress the first lady wore to the inaugural ball Monday was the only one Wu had submitted for her choice this time around.
"To have done it once was already the experience of my life. To have a second time is tremendous," the 30-year-old designer told AP at his Manhattan studio.
Wu created the outfit in partnership with jeweler Kimberly McDonald, who designed the jeweled neckline.
