TAITRONICS diversifies, now includes IoT and wearables

Source: Taiwantrade | Updated: 13 October 2015

The 41st TAITRONICS opened on October 6th at the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall. The industry’s leading trends—cloud storage and big data, IoT technology and applications, and wearable devices—were highlighted by the seven major theme pavilions, while startups, makerspaces, and Made in Taiwan (MIT) quality products also drew lots of attention. For exhibitors and visitors both overseas and domestic, the show is a platform for developing technology and software solutions.

The Smart Wearable Device Application International Forum—held in conjunction with the Pavilion of Wearable and IoT Smart Applications—attracted many attendees throughout the two-day event. Participants include Compal Electronics, Alchemy Technology, ProLogium, National Cheng Kung University, and many service providers and industrial and academic researchers. Discussions centered on wearable devices, virtual and augmented reality, and the development of integrated systems in IoT health management. The forum aims to encourage more high-quality companies to enter this developing field, push Taiwan to the forefront of wearables, and corner the IoT market.

TAITRONICS 2015 has diversified. In addition to electronic components and peripherals, the show now includes wearable devices and integrated solutions for health, entertainment, and home surveillance. The diversification of the products and services provide a complete vertical representation of the electrical and electronics industry in one show and show off Taiwan’s R&D and innovation abilities.
