Launched in December 2013, the ROBO-STOX index is currently valued at over US$100 million with 81 public companies on its list. Among them are six makers from Taiwan, including Hiwin, AirTac, Delta, Teco, ADLINK, and Advantech.
Of the six Taiwanese makers, ADLINK and Adantech joined ROBO-STOX in late 2014, and Hiwin carries the highest weight at 1.93 percent of the total index.
Among the stocks on the index, 39 are based in the United States, 26 in Japan, and 9 are from Germany, followed by 6 from Taiwan. The list has included industry heavyweights such as ABB, KUKA and YASKAWA.
ROBO-STOX is the creator of the first benchmark index to track the global robotics and automation market.
