Overview of the Taiwan International Fisheries and Seafood Show

The Taiwan International Fisheries and Seafood Show is organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council and WES Worldwide Expo Services Ltd, and unfolds from November 19-21 at the new Kaohsiung Exhibition Center.


This new fisheries exhibition serves as a platform for tech and industry exchange among leaders and the trade. The expo includes procurement meetings and fishery, and seafood summit forums. The forums introduce compound feeding, biotech products in aquaculture, distant-water tuna fisheries and more.


Other show events include fish master forums, new product presentations while the fish art VIP lounge offers a comfortable relaxed setting for buyers to see showcased fish art. 


Taiwan Fisheries joins 200 exhibitors to use 400 booths under such banner areas that include: Fishery Equipment and Technology, Aquaculture, Seafood and Value-added Seafood, Processing Equipment, Fishery Services and Overseas Exhibitors.


These exhibitors underscore Taiwan’s renown as a nation of 70 islands with a 1,600KM-plus coastline with waters teeming with a tenth of the world marine species. Taiwan’s fishery industry production is now approaching US$3.3bn and its fishing output ranks among the top three in the world. Taiwan’s edge in aquaculture is underscored by the fact that it has artificially propagated 6 out of the 7 existing propagated groupers breeds on earth.


The show has attracted key domestic exhibitors as while as exhibitors from more than 10 countries, including Brazil, the U.S.A., Malaysia, Japan, Korea, and Indonesia. During the show more than 6,000 domestic and foreign visitors are expected to visit the Cross-Strait Fisheries and Seafood Show that is set up by the Quanzhou Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).
