Human resources has always played the most crucial role to maintain the advantages for business competitiveness. It’s not only the core for business development, but the key point to enhance international competitiveness. Transnational operations have become more competitive with the rise of globalization. Most Taiwanese industries are also dedicated to transform and actively explore overseas markets, branching out international businesses. Through the driving effect of recruiting international talents, Taiwan will benefit by putting our industries onto global stage, and fully connecting to the international industry supply chains. The Ministry of Economic Affairs constructed the HiRecruit global talent portal site in 2003, and is dedicated to establishing global professional talent human resource networking. HiRecruit serves as the free platform for recruiting and overseas technology talents with Taiwanese industries, along with research and academic institutions.
The HiRecruit human resources website of Ministry of Economic Affairs is the national level official website. The name comes from “Hi-tech + Recruitment”, “Hire + Recruit” and “Human Resources” as a compound word, intending to provide local enterprises with the ability to recruit overseas technology talents to work in Taiwan. Our industries have always been export-oriented. However, when Taiwanese companies explore the overseas markets, they always encounter barriers such as language, unfamiliarity with local business customs, and culture, etc. To assist local companies to explore overseas target markets and recruit international talents for different industries of Taiwan, TAITRA expanded the scale and conducted the “One-on-One Employment Meeting”in 2013. It yielded impressive results and we received an overwhelming response from every participant. Thus, TAITRA will continue to hold six additional meetings in Taipei, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Hsinchu, Tainan, in April, May, June, and October. We invite the overseas Chinese students who go to schools in Taiwan and are ready to graduate soon, as well as foreign students and foreigners to have one-on-one meetings with Taiwanese enterprises. Participants can apply the culture, business environment, and language of their familiar home countries to assist Taiwanese enterprises to explore overseas markets. TAITRA cordially welcomes overseas talents, industries, research and academic institutions to utilize this platform, and register to be the member of HiRecruit without any charge, and participate in the meetings.
Moreover, Taiwanese companies who successfully match with the seeded applicants from the 19 newly emerged markets through “One-on-One Employment Meetings 2015,” could receive up to NT$30,000 in subsidies for 80% of the talent training fee incurred in Taiwan (including food, accommodation and transportation fees) . The 19 emerging markets include: Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, The Slovak Republic, The Republic of Belarus, Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Egypt.
