Developed by the electrical discharge machining expert, Joemars Industrial Automation Co., Ltd., the TR100 Broken Tap Remover is a portable and time saving solution for removing broken endmills.
When tapping a hole on a metal workpiece, if the endmill becomes broken inside the hole it will not only be hard to remove but also put the work on halt. As tapping is usually done after hours of work have been put into a workpiece, it is often the case that the broken endmill must be properly removed in order to save the workpiece.
As this scenario is often encountered in the manufacturing industry, Joemars has developed the TR100 to address this very problem.
The TR100 is not only portable, it is also simple to operate and fast to use. The unit can be hooked up to different power sources, including 100V, 110V, 120V, 200V, 220V, 230V, and 240V, 1 phase, 50Hz/60Hz.
For the electrical discharge machining process, ordinary tap water can be used as the dielectric material, and any brass bar can be used by the TR100 as its electrode. The TR100 can also be operated easily on a large workpiece. And most importantly, the TR100 can remove taps easily without damaging the threads.
