The Droid DNA, which features a super-sharp display and high-speed 4G LTE Internet access, will serve as the company's leading smartphone for the holiday shopping season in the U.S., HTC said in a statement.
It comes equipped with a 5-inch display capable of displaying 1080p video and has the sharpest resolution of any smartphone screen on the market, which is what sets the device apart, the company said.
The unit’s display has a pixel density of 440 pixels per inch, outclassing the 326 ppi found in Apple's latest iPhone and the 306 ppi seen in Samsung's Galaxy S III, according to a Reuters report.
The Droid DNA also features the latest Qualcomm snapdragon quad-core processor and runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and HTC's Sense 4+, the company said.
