HTC is actively engaging the world’s 4G phone market.
After the company and Russian WiMAX operator Scartel rolled out its first WiMAX phone in 2008, HTC went on to expand into the U.S. market. Since then, HTC had launched six models of 4G phones, working with T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T.
Just recently, HTC and Japanese operator KDDI announced the rollout of the HTC EVO 4G phone for the Japanese market, making Japan the second market after the United States in which HTC rolled out 4G phones.
The new EVO supports the WiMAX standard, is driven by the Android operating system, comes with a screen of 4.3 inches and features an 8-megapixel camera.
