Taiwan’s first international medical zone, which is tentatively set to be established in Taoyuan, will concentrate primarily on treating foreign patients (including referrals) and carrying out high-end tourist physical examinations, reports the DOH.
The medical institution should have a paid-in capital of at least NT$600 million and entail an investment of no less than NT$2 billion.
The zone will have a medical institution with at least 200 beds as well as a four-star hotel, shopping center, exhibition hall, and other facilities to serve those accompanying patients as well as international travelers.
