The Franz Award is an international porcelain design contest established by Franz Collection Inc. in 2007. Every year, the award recognizes young designers around the world for their creativity and innovation in the art of porcelain making.
The qualified works for the 2015 Franz Award have been selected in July this year, and the winner will be chosen in the final judging event to be held in November. This year, there were 2205 contestants from 48 countries competing for the top prize.
The Franz Award encourages young designers to explore their potentials and the possibilities in porcelain making. The winner of the award will not only receive a US$16,000 prize, but also a chance of a lifetime to exhibit at the Maison & Objet trade fairs.
The Franz Award welcomes creative porcelain designs from around the world, and thousands of talents from every continent would compete in the event for the coveted top prize.
Over the course of its 9 year history, the award has identified numerous inspirational and life-changing works by young artists every, including the Middle East, South America, North America, Asia, and Europe.
