Long Time Technology Corp. was established in 2010 as a maker and exporter of anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The company saw a surge in orders in 2014 on the back of strong demands for electric vehicles.
Over the past year, Long Time Technology Corp. saw a huge 90 percent increase in the sales of its anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. On top of making the anodes of electric vehicle batteries, the company’s high quality spheroidal graphite materials have a wide range of applications, including batteries for electronic devices and heat sinks.
According to Long Time Technology Corp., the company registered a 90 percent growth last year with its revenue reaching US$51 million compared to the US$2.7 million in the year before.
In terms of shipment volumes, the company shipped 780 tons of anode materials in 2014 compared to the 400 tons in the previous year.
By working with Osaka Gas Chemicals, Long Time Technology Corp. pointed out that it is expecting orders from Taiwan, China, and Japan to grow at a steady rate. For example, a fully electric bus requires around 300 kilograms of anode material. Last year, the China market alone saw sales of over 50,000 buses. In 2015, that figure is estimated to double.
To meet the surging demands, the company has completed a factory expansion project last year that enabled its annual production capacity to reach 3,000 tons.
With a rapidly growing market for electric vehicles in China and around the world, the company is expecting its revenue to top US$7 million in 2015.
