The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Education, National Science Council (Executive Yuan), and Council of Agriculture; supported by the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office, Industrial Development Bureau, Bureau of Energy, Bureau of Foreign Trade, Department of Industrial Technology, Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, Department of Investment Services, and State-owned Enterprise Commission; and executed by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, Industrial Technology Research Institute of Taiwan, and Taiwan Technology Marketplace.
This year, the number of participating booths will rise to 1,100, including almost 700 companies from both home and abroad, inventors, R&D units, and academic organizations. The 2011 exhibition will by far be the largest in its history in terms of scale and the number of exhibitors. It will not only be Asia's index exhibition of international inventions and technologies, but Taiwan's biggest platform for intellectual property and technology exchange.
Two features of this year's exhibition—the Invention Pavilion and Technomart—will showcase eye-opening originality and superb professional skills, highlighting the amazing advancement of Taiwan's intellectual property industry.
A variety of innovations combined with solar energy will be on display at the Invention Pavilion which show the concern investors have for sustainable energy and the development of green energy. Viewers will also be able to see many creations that help improve quality of life.
Technomart will feature 13 pavilions which include roughly 180 organizations. Exclusive works recognized by U.S.'s R&D 100, IDEA Award, and Poland's National Special Prize, Germany's iF Design Award, and Red Dot Product Design Award, as well as Switzerland’s International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva; Korea's Seoul International Invention Fair, the Moscow International Salon of Industrial Property “Archimedes”, and the U.S.’ INPEX will be showcased. Many top-notch products will make their debuts at the 2011 Taipei INST, giving viewers an exclusive sneak peek at the latest inventions.
During the exhibition, there will be many new product launches and releases of award-winning creations, as well as a “INST Monopoly for Inventors” game. There will also be a number of seminars, topics ranging from international technology transfer, entrepreneurship, industry trends and applications of green technology, and intellectual property. Diverse displays and activities of the Taipei INST will enable domestic and international buyers to better understand Taiwan's creative abilities and continue to drive the intellectual property industry forward.
